The conference aims to provide a platform for mathematicians, researchers, and academician from universities and research organizations to present their work and to share experiences and ideas in the emerging areas of Mathematics in the hope of promoting scientific exchange and discussing possibilities of further cooperation, networking, and promotion of mobility of senior and young researchers and research students. The conference will feature lectures by invited prominent mathematicians and will provide the opportunity for regional researchers to present their latest work.
ICM-SQU2024 is jointly organized by the Department of Mathematics, College of Science, SQU, and Oman Mathematics Committee (OMC). This reflects a strong collaboration of local mathematicians and the academic community in Oman. It promotes SQU as a center of excellence and enhances the visibility of mathematicians in Oman, and it also informs the world community about research activities in Oman.

The meeting will focus on the use of biotechnology in basic biomedical research, translational studies, applied biomedicine and pharmacological biotechnology. Biomedicine assists in understanding the pathophysiological processes by identifying the cellular and molecular mechanisms, leading to new strategies to produce new diagnostics and therapies. On the other hand, medical biotechnology applies genetic manipulation of living organisms, cells, and their components to develop new technologies and bio products. Biotechnology can include developing new drugs and treatments, developing vaccines gene therapies, and creating diagnostic tools. Local, regional, and international researchers and local stockholders of pharmacological companies from government and private sectors will be involved in this meeting. This symposium is proposed to cover the following main themes Biomedicine in diagnosis and treatment, Pharmacological Biotechnology, Strategy planning for Biotechnology entrepreneur

Yet, plant phytoplasma diseases remain to be one of the main limitations to our plant health. Which emphasize the need of innovative methods in plant phytoplasma disease management research, distribution of knowledge and latest information between the researchers and growers for their future mission in phytoplasma diseases management. This inaugural conference aims to promote an exchange of knowledge and information about plant phytoplasma diseases to establish linkages between scientists, researchers, producers and consumers globally. This event also offers an opportunity to introduce delegates to new developments in plant phytoplasma diseases and plant health. Finally, an exchange of knowledge and information about latest plant phytoplasma diseases approaches and to establish linkages between growers and the agriculture experts.

The International Conference in Earth Sciences and Energy Transition [ICESET] is organized by the Earth Sciences Research Center at Sultan Qaboos University - Sultanate of Oman and will be launched every two years. The energy demand is increasing across many countries globally as population increases. According to the United Nation report , the world population is reaching 9.6 billion by 2050 and energy demand is increasing from 11.4 billion tons of oil equivalent to 17.7 billion. The increasing in global energy demand and consumption have significant implication for climate changes. The transition to a low-to-zero carbon energy is now a prime concern for the globe community to reduce and avoid climate changes and accordingly several governments have merged their economic growth rate and greenhouse gas emissions through a rapid increase in low-to-zero carbon energy.

It is a two days event and aims to promoting awareness and disseminating the use and development of free and open source software for professionals, staff, students, and the community in Oman. The conference is scheduled for every two years. The previous events was on February 2017, February 2015, and 2013 the main objective was always to promote the open source software. The next conference FOSSC-Oman 2019 will be on 14th and 15th February 2019.

يؤدي احترام القانون وسيادته إلى توفير بيئة ملائمة للإصلاح في مختلف المجالات، وبالنظر لما يشهده العالم من تغييرات على المستويين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي؛ اتجهت معظم الدول لإعادة ترتيب البيئة القانونية لتتوافق مع هذا التغيير، لا سيما في ظل الأزمة الاقتصادية العالمية وتداعيات انخفاض أسعار النفط. في هذا الصدد تسعي كلية الحقوق بجامعة السلطان قابوس الي تنظيم مؤتمرها الرابع حول "القانون والتحولات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية"، كملتقى للخبرات والكفاءات الأكاديمية ومنبر للحوار حول دور مختلف فروع القانون في عملية التنمية وعلاقتها بما يشهده المجتمع من تطور على المستويين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي. ويكتسب موضوع المؤتمر أهمية خاصة بالنظر لما توليه الحكومة العمانية من اهتمام بالتوافق بين النصوص القانونية من جهة وبين النشاط الاجتماعي والاقتصادي في المجتمع من جهة أخرى، لضمان تحقيق التنمية المستدامة.

سوف يجمع هذا المؤتمر مجتمع العلماء والباحثين في مجال التقنية الحيوية البحرية في السلطنة ودول مجلس التعاون. بالإضافة الى ذلك، دعوة كبار خبراء العالم في هذا المجال للمشاركة. وسيركز المؤتمر على بحوث التقنية الحيوية البحرية القائمة والمقترحة وفرص التطبيق في منطقة الخليج. سوف يستمر المؤتمر لمدة يومان، وسيتم من خلاله استضافة متحدثين من دول العالم، وجامعة السلطان قابوس، ومن جامعات اخرى في السلطنة ودول مجلس التعاون وممثلي القطاع الحكومي والخاص في السلطنة. وسيتم ايضا تشجيع طلاب الدراسات العليا للمشاركة من خلال معرض للملصقات، وسيتم منح جائزة لأفضل ملصق في المؤتمر. ومن المتوقع مشاركة حوالي 100- 150 مشارك ومشاركة. الهدف الرئيسي من المؤتمر هو تقييم وتعزيز وتطوير التقنية الحيوة البحرية في منطقة الخليج العربي وجمع الباحثين في هذا المجال لإنشاء روابط تعاونية جديدة.
